Let me ask you a question…
If you could have any one business advantage what would it be?
It is an interesting question, right?
Legendary Copywriter Gary Halbert once asked this question about business to a group of people who were at his seminar.
To make his point he used the idea of a restaurant as a way of teaching.
So he said you own a restaurant and I own a restaurant. You get to pick any one advantage that you want as long as I can have mine.
People from the audience chose all kinds of things like… the best chef, the best food, the best location, the best price.
Others chose Michelin stars or it be a McDonalds. All sorts of ideas were put forth.
When all the answers had been given most seemed reasonable and might just give them that killer advantage.
But Gary was no ordinary teacher and he did not think like the average person.
So it is no surprise that Gary didn’t want any of those things.
He only wanted one thing.
It was this… He said that the only thing he wanted was that outside of his restaurant he wanted a starving crowd with money.
A starving crowd with money.
The genius of that cannot be understated.
So many of us build the restaurant first and then we try and find the crowd.
But great business people find a starving crow and then give them what they want.
In virtually every business if you look in the right way, you can find your own starving crowd. Too many business owners try and find the occasional person who might want a snack.
Think about that for a second.
So here is the question of the day…
Have you found a starving crowd with money for your business?
If you have not and you think you might need some help with that you might like to read THIS.
